This policy explains what personal data we process when you use amernet.eu, for what purposes and on what legal basis, who we share it with and what rights you have. The company’s internal data protection rules are described in our Data Protection Policy.
1. Data controller
The controller of your personal data is Amernet Sp. z o.o., ul. Puławska 487, 02-844 Warsaw, Poland, entered in the register of entrepreneurs of the National Court Register kept by the District Court for the Capital City of Warsaw, 13th Commercial Division, under KRS number 0000214118, VAT ID PL5213301231, REGON 015766236, share capital PLN 50,000.00.
For any data protection matters, please contact us by e-mail at [email protected], by phone at +48 22 646 53 20 or in writing at our registered office. The controller has not appointed a data protection officer, as it is not required to do so.
2. Browsing the website
You do not need to provide any personal data to browse the website.
The server hosting the website automatically records connection information in its logs: IP address, date and time of the request, the address of the page requested, the referring page, and information about the browser and operating system. We use this data only to keep the website secure and working properly and to diagnose errors, which is our legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). Logs are not used to identify users or for profiling, and are kept for no longer than 20 months, after which they are deleted automatically.
3. Contact forms and correspondence
When you use the contact form or the TV channel enquiry form, you provide your name, company or property name, e-mail address, phone number and the content of your message (fields marked as required are needed for us to reply). We process the same data when you contact us by e-mail or phone.
We process this data in order to:
- reply to your enquiry and correspond with you – on the basis of our legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR),
- prepare an offer at your request, i.e. take steps prior to entering into a contract (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR),
- establish, pursue or defend any claims – on the basis of our legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
Form messages are sent to our e-mail inbox and also saved in the website database as a backup. We keep them for as long as needed to handle the enquiry and conduct business talks, and no longer than 2 years from the last contact – after that, the copies in the website database are deleted automatically. If the enquiry leads to a contract, the data will be processed for the duration of the contract and for the period required by law (e.g. tax law).
Providing your data is voluntary, but without it we will not be able to answer your enquiry.
4. Cookies
The website does not store cookies on visitors’ devices and does not use any analytics, advertising or tracking tools. The language version of a page is determined by its address (e.g. /en/), not by a cookie.
Cookies needed for logging in are stored only for the people who manage the website’s content, after they log in to the administration panel.
The location map on the Contact page is displayed from OpenStreetMap, which may use its own technical files in accordance with its privacy policy.
5. OpenStreetMap maps
The Contact and Projects and references pages show OpenStreetMap maps. To display them, your browser downloads map tiles directly from the servers of the OpenStreetMap Foundation (St John’s Innovation Centre, Cowley Road, Cambridge, CB4 0WS, United Kingdom), sending them your IP address and technical information about your browser. We use these maps on the basis of our legitimate interest in showing the location of our company and our projects (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). The United Kingdom is a country for which the European Commission has issued an adequacy decision. For details, see the OpenStreetMap Foundation privacy policy.
6. Recipients of data
We do not sell your data or share it with others for marketing purposes. Your data may only be accessed by:
- providers of website hosting, e-mail and IT support services working for us, under data processing agreements,
- advisers who support us in legal, tax and accounting matters,
- public authorities, where we are required by law to disclose data.
Apart from loading maps from OpenStreetMap servers as described above, we do not transfer data to countries outside the European Economic Area. We do not make decisions about you based solely on automated processing, including profiling.
7. Your rights
You have the right to:
- access your data and receive a copy of it,
- have your data rectified,
- have your data erased,
- restrict processing,
- data portability – for data processed to prepare an offer or perform a contract,
- object to processing based on our legitimate interest, on grounds relating to your particular situation.
To exercise these rights, simply write to [email protected]. We will reply without undue delay and in any event within one month.
If you believe that we process your data unlawfully, you may lodge a complaint with the President of the Personal Data Protection Office (Prezes Urzędu Ochrony Danych Osobowych, ul. Stawki 2, 00-193 Warsaw, Poland).
8. Security
Connections to the website are encrypted (HTTPS). Only authorised persons have access to the data, and the website and server are updated regularly.
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy, for example when the website or the law changes. The current version is always available on this page.
